Georgia Ave (Single)

about

"Georgia Avenue begins north of Florida Avenue, which was the boundary of the Old City, and is a continuation of 7th Street. Traveling northward, the street passes Howard University and Fort Stevens. At Eastern Avenue, the road crosses into Montgomery County and passes through Silver Spring. Where it crosses Colesville Road a mile into Maryland, Georgia Avenue splits off U.S. Route 29 and becomes Maryland State Highway 97. Georgia Avenue ends at the boundary with Howard County, where it becomes Roxbury Mills Road.[1] The total length of the road is about 24 miles (39 km), of which 5 miles (8 km) are in Washington, D.C."

I could actually say most of my late adolescence was spent on this street so I made song about it. We had fun on Georgia Ave.

lyrics

Verse One

I remember tip toeing offa cheap liquor, A deep thinker
With big dreams that stick with ya , an old rapper say
Why you still rapping at 39
I probably be 65 before I see my prime
Gotta love critics
You never chased a dream in your life , you ain't living
A thousaneer plotting and scheming on getting billions
You sitting on the sideline hating in your feeling
You ain't gotta pay me no mind I got business
Small minded niggas never understood the vision
No wise words from a youtube commenter
That'll never happen and I heard em say

Chorus

I used to get money on Georgia ave
I used to get money on Georgia ave
I used to get money on Georgia ave
You talking get money but what you done lately
I used to get money on Georgia ave
I used to get money on Georgia ave
I used to get money on Georgia ave
You talking get money but what you done lately

Verse Two

Thought of I could be parent to these niggas
But parents could rock too go say that shit on twitter uh
As long as they feel us , You let em kill the music is how they kill us
No hall of fame for rappers
It's all about that rock n' roll
When niggas shitting on us like Mr Malone
Go figure uh
How do you move further to make the blues better
One time for second chances , suckers that move careless
I don't respect it , you make a record , make your money
And make your exit um oh yeah I get it
I ain't here to knock nobody hustle
Go be a young King like Nipsey Hussle oh I love it
Never stop dreaming , never stop scheming
Never sleep on a hater with a vengeance if you winning
Cause ain't no fucking love out here
These young boys dying everyday out here

Bridge

I used to get money on Georgia ave
I used to get money on Georgia ave
I used to get money on Georgia ave
(And I heard em say)
That was way back in my past
I used to get money on Georgia ave
I used to get money on Georgia ave
I used to get money on Georgia ave
(And I heard em say)
That was way back in my past

Verse Three

Now we been out here
How long you gon' ignore us
Like a pack of wolves , scrapping for leftovers
See imma let a sucka talk
Cause the chickens come back to roost
Survivor's remorse got me hesitating to shoot
Why we can't all relax , sip some mimosa's
But niggas want drama , aggregating a soldier
Corona virus killed the vibe made a hell for us
I only got 2 words , Fuck intruders
